On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the entire French mountain region mobilizes at nightfall to bring you an exceptional event! All French Ski Schools (ESF) are joining forces to simultaneously organize torchlight descents in French resorts, in partnership with the National Association of Mountain Resort Mayors and Domaines Skiables de France.
An unprecedented national charity event
The goal? To raise as much funding as possible for charity programs that allow children who don’t have the chance to go on vacation to discover our magnificent mountains and their benefits.
The funds raised will be donated to three associations working for access to the mountains:
- Enfance et Montagne
- Génération Montagne
- Opération Famille Plus, la montagne solidaire in partnership with Petits Princes
These wonderful associations enable thousands of children every year to experience the unforgettable mountain experience, learn to ski, and create precious memories.

Give your child a magical experience: the torchlight descent
Supervised by ESF Isola 2000 instructors, your child will participate in a great luminous snake that will descend the slope at nightfall. Torch in hand, they will be part of a river of light winding down the white blanket, alongside dozens of other children. Together, they will create a magical spectacle visible from the entire resort!

Required level: Children who have completed at least the 2nd star
The ski show takes over
After the torchlight descent, it’s time for the big show! The ski area staff, local sports clubs, volunteer handiski pilots, and ESF instructors will offer you a spectacular show that will light up the Isola 2000 night with luminous choreography and technical prowess: a true fireworks display on snow!
How to participate?
Registration and price:
- Registration directly at ESF Isola 2000
- €10 per torch (limited places)
- The descent is only accessible with a torch and a valid ski pass
- Profits will be entirely donated to the three partner associations
Minimum level required: 2nd star for children
By purchasing your torch, you become part of this magical moment while directly contributing to bringing the mountains to children who are deprived of it. A charitable gesture that doubly illuminates the evening!
A festive evening for the whole family
Beyond the descents and the show, a festive atmosphere settles at the foot of the Belvédère ski lift. Parents, grandparents, and spectators gather to encourage our little champions and applaud the performances of professionals in this friendly atmosphere so special to Isola 2000.
