HIKING AND SNOWSHOEING

Lombarde

This path, will lead you to the « col de la lombarde » pass that connects the « Tinée » valley and the Italian valley.

During your walk, you will see military constructions built when Isola was part of the Italian territory.

Once up, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of both countries.

Pelevos

This path will lead you on a beautiful and safe way. You wiIl go through the forest and walk along the river.

For this walk , you must buy a pedestrian pass bought at the ski lift checkout.

Then, you need to take the « Pelevos telecabine » .

Once on the top, you can take the route on the left and get off at the station.

You can do this itinerary without using the telecabine.

Instead, you must start your walk past the chapel.

Once in the chapel, go down a slope to the right and follow the sign.

Grizzly

You can do a little loop in the woods.

This path leads you to the reservoir (retenue collinaire).

This reservoir is a water storage facility used to supply snow cannons.

Explor Games

The tourist office proposes a playful and immersive outing in snowshoes.

On this journey, step into the shoes of a hero and discover the mystery of Isola 2000.

You will have to perform puzzles and challenges but this path is also a chance to enjoy beautiful snowy scenery.

Snowshoeing with a guide

A snowshoe outing supervised by a professional mountain leader allows you to fully immerse yourself in the natural environment and discover the fauna as well as all the details of the mountains in winter.

Richard offers a gentle approach to snowshoeing. The whole experience is punctuated by observations of chamois with a spyglass and a wealth of explanations about the environment (trees, tracks and signs of life) as well as information about the historical and military heritage of the area.

From the discovery walk to the day hike to Italy, not forgetting the aperitif hike or raclette hike.
The programme is adapted and accessible to all. It’s suitable for both sports enthusiasts and families with children. (For children aged 4 and over)

Example of hike

• Little trapper : It is a fun and easy way to discover the nature.. This hike is accessible to all from 6 years.. We will go looking for animal borrowings around the station. We will also learn the acts of survival and how to make fire in the snow. After this hike, you will be hungry, so we will eat a snack all together.
• Zen and wellness hike : A morning or a day of gentle snowshoeing to reconnect with yourself and with nature, to awaken your senses and to recharge your batteries thanks to the magic of the place and the energy of the living
• Explor Game : Every Thursday the tourist office and the Guide Tinée Mercantour offers you a fun and immersive hike.
