Mountain roads and passes

Due to adverse weather conditions,

• the Col de la Lombarde (RM 97 – Isola) will be closed to traffic in both directions at 6pm on Monday 11 November 2024 for an indefinite period.
• access to the Col de la Bonette (RM 2205 – St. Dalmas-le-Selvage) is closed to traffic from the Pont Haut on Monday 11 November 2024 at 6pm, for an indefinite period.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

Chains or winter tyres will be mandatory in mountainous areas.

All vehicles must be fitted with snow tyres, all-season tyres or chains from 1 November 2024 to 31 March 2025.

The obligation concerns light and commercial vehicles, motor homes, heavy goods vehicles and coaches travelling in areas established by the prefects. Their drivers must: carry removable anti-skid devices (metal or textile snow chains) in their trunks to equip at least two driving wheels or be equipped with four “winter tyres”.
